A magical summer morning of light and color after days of rain. As darkness faded to light I was in amazement of the scene that revealed itself. A high alpine lake sits nestled among the wildflowers as Ulysses S Grant Peak (13,714 ft) guards over this pristine sanctuary. It rained for 3 days with only limited opportunities to get out and hike around so this morning was welcomed as the clearing storm lit the sky on fire as the mountain sides bathed in morning alpine glow. The stunning reflection, alpine wildflowers and sunrise color made this whole basin seem like it was taken straight out of a fairytale. This panorama is composed of 6 image that bring you an incredible field of view.
